Hi there! My name is Tommy Truitt, an Atlanta based actor who moved to the Southeast with a passion for storytelling, a love of the craft, and just a tiny obsession with sweet tea. In 2023 I graduated Summa Cum Laude from the prestigious acting program at Elon University. I left Elon with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting with minors in Dance and Religious Studies and entered a new world full of opportunity.

I grew up in a small town in Maryland with my family, two cats, and a dog. When I decided that acting is what I wanted to do with my life, I pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts and ended up at Elon University in North Carolina.

While at Elon I took classes in acting, movement, dance, and voice as well as an incredible liberal arts curriculum. I had the incredible opportunity to study abroad at the Theater Academy of London during my four years. Studying Shakespeare, high comedy, and getting certified in stage combat. Additionally, in January of 2023 I had the opportunity to study in South India for a month with some of my fellow Elon Students.

After graduation, from May of 2023 to June of 2024 I toured around the United States, teaching kids theatre and exposing them to the magic of live performance. I love to travel and touring allowed me to not only do something I love, but also allowed me to connect with communities all across the nation. I got to learn the incredible stories of people and communities all over all while deepening my love for theatre and a growing love of theatre education.

During my long journey across this nation I also decided I wanted to delve into the wonderful world of TV and Film. While I still planned to keep Theatre in my life, the stories of Television and Film began to become more and more enticing and the medium became something I wanted to explore more and more. Having already spent four years in the south I decided I wanted to move to Atlanta to pursue my TV/Film career. Being in one of the top markets while also being in the south, a place I was already familiar with, was super enticing to me and let me jump into this world with an open heart and mind.

Since moving to Atlanta at the end of 2024 I got signed, have been in multiple commercials, TV shows, Films, and Verticals. Atlanta has already been so wonderful to me and the incredible filmmakers and artists I’ve met along my journey have only solidified that this was the correct move for me. I am so grateful for experiences I have already had and can’t wait to see where this road leads.
